It doesn’t matter if it’s customer, or the sales team, or another internal team. I love being the enabling force that helps folks solve big problems.
Sometimes that looks like non-quota inside sales. Sometimes that looks like sales enablement or sales operations.
Making folks feel welcome
Again, it doesn’t matter if it’s the customer or the internal team. I love seeing people’s faces transformed as they know things are about to get resolved.
At NCR, that was when I prepared and ran the weekly sales meeting.
At POS Solutions and Frost Bank, that was meeting customers in the office, getting them what they needed, and watching their faces beam satisfaction and delight.
Here’s where I’ll disappoint you
Spending the entire day on the phone or staring at the computer screen don’t put me in my happy place. And that means you won’t be in your happy place. It’s best for both of us if we avoid those.
When inside sales is more about quota than helping people, we’ll both be disappointed.
